Updating a Bathroom with a Modern Beach Theme

Jess and Peter have already delved into the world of themed bathrooms, having first transformed their half bath into a cat-themed bathroom inspired by their family cat, Atticus.  This time around they realized that their main guest bathroom downstairs needed a face-lift, particularly since this is the most-used bathroom in the house by visitors.  As you can see from the "before" photos above, the bathroom was pretty boring looking with oak-finished bathroom cabinets, mismatched fixtures, and a weird peachy color for the walls.  The floor was also covered in linoleum.  Although it was fairly new linoleum, tile always looks better & lasts longer.

Tips for Assembling Your Own Chicken Coop

Fortunately for our quickly-growing baby chickens, the parts to assemble their coop arrived in the mail this week!  Since our chickens will be outside, we needed to pick out a coop with some shelter during the winter and enough room for them to wander about in.

"Urban" poultry farming has been a rising trend for the past three years, making it easier to find the supplies you need for your chickens in your local city or town.  Check your local feed store like Southern States or home improvement store like Lowe's to see if they carry any DIY chicken coop kits.  If you can't find what you want from a local source, the internet has plenty of options from everything to plans for coops, DIY kits that you can assemble yourself, and completely assembled coops.
