After Jess put all our remaining media pieces into storage using the two side drawers of the Kendra Low Profile Console, it was time for me to set up the electronics.  I like that all of the cords are hidden from view.  I often have cords overflowing in my work area, so it is nice to see them nice & tidy in our TV room.  The console also has extra space for an additional gaming system that I would like to get in the future.  With the open storage areas for gaming systems, it is also easy to set up Rockband & other specialty controller games without too much fuss.

The console sits low to the ground, making it the perfect small living room furniture for our limited space.  I like how our new console adds a bit of an Asian flair to the room with its low stature.  Our house is filled with different types of Asian art from Japan & Bali, so this fits in well with the general theme.  Although most of our hanging wall art from Asia is already put up in the office, the TV room walls definitely still need some color.

With our Kendra console in place, Jess & I turned to spicing up the décor of the room.  We still have several art pieces left about the house waiting for homes on the wall.  Looking through our paintings, we have two with a tree theme, both with colors that would complement the bright gold of the walls.  We left a nice open space above the sofa for a painting from our friend Katie Wall.  Jess went to one of her art shows last year & fell in love with her fall series of trees that plays with light and color palette.  She has her eye on this painting.  Adding an Asian inspired frame would definitely complement the clean lines of our Kendra console.

Living Room Furniture for a small room - Kendra Console

A small living room requires very careful choice of furniture so that the room won't feel too small. The Kendra low profile console (above) looks like a best fit option mainly because of its low height. Furthermore, I think it would be best to choose even smaller sized paintings for walls.

I absolutely love the

I absolutely love the painting and your right the gold wall does make it pop! It seems you have a well designed understated T.V viewing area here Peter, well done indeed. It would seem you have even incorporated one of my favorite armless chairs here as well, though without a full picture I can't be sure. If so was it perhaps for the reasoning that an armless chair seems to open the landscape of the room more so than it's armed cousin?
