Our Crafty Finishing Touches

Now that the first crafted decoration has been created for the craft room, it is time to start hanging up our artwork. The space feels rather empty on the walls, and I think adding some art by close friends will brighten up the room.

Using Your Crafts for Decorating Inspiration

I recently attended the Scrapbooking Party at Furnitureland South led by Scrapbook Traditions. Put together with the help of Hooker Furniture, this informal get together focused on making your creative ideas a reality on paper by using a variety of scrapbooking tools and beautiful paper crafting supplies. The Abbott Place Hobby Station was fully decked out with a variety of crafting supplies, and it was good to see in person how my scrapbooking supplies would fit nicely into the drawers in the station base. The present wrapping station looked gorgeous with beautiful wrapping paper on the spools.

Creative Apartment Furniture Idea

Hurricane Katrina took away all the lovely furnishings that had been gathered over 48 years by my family. Deciding that an apartment was now best for my new lifestyle, I quickly learned that small closets and pantries posed a major problem. I began looking at furniture that would be functional, provide storage, and beautifully enhance my limited living space.
