Our New Kitchen Is Complete

Our new kitchen is now complete.  When we first moved into our new house, the kitchen was a dream come true even though the stove was cracked, and we had no fridge.  We definitely saw the potential and were able to work with Laura Redd to make it happen.

We were able to find a new stove top online from www.partstore.com (a fantastic place to find parts for new or old appliances).  It took us about 30 minutes to take the old top off and replace it.  In the end, 30 minutes of work and a few hundred dollars saved us about $1,000 over buying a brand new stove.

Kitchen Paint Selection from Laura Redd

You did it, you have bought your first house, your husband has carried you over the threshold and set you down, and you look around. Now what?  Where to start? The kitchen, of course! The kitchen is the hub of all activity. But what do you do besides plopping in some utensils and a few towels?

Kitchen Design with Modern Dining Room Furniture

About a year and a half ago, I purchased my first home in Martinsville, VA; located in an older, traditional neighborhood and about a mile from Lake Lanier.  At the top of my list for renovation was the kitchen.  It was outdated and in poor condition.  The wallpaper, appliances, flooring, cabinets, and light fixtures all needed to be updated. I took a long-term approach and planned a design that was aesthetically pleasing, sensible for how I live, and fully functional, given my love for cooking.
