Comfortable Apartment Furniture Makes College Feel Like Home

As the fall semester began at Appalachian State University, I moved into an upstairs/downstairs duplex nestled in a cove in Boone, N.C. and surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. For my 20th birthday present, my parents generously purchased the Kemperton bedroom set from the Envision Lifestyle Collections by Hooker Furniture as my first apartment furniture. As we moved the furniture in and put my bed together and the room began to take shape, I felt that this room is the best space I've ever had in my life. The furniture is really stylish with a vibrant dark finish, and the drawers of the chest are deep enough to hold my stacks of jeans. When my roommates and our friends walked by the room, they all stopped to admire the furniture. Even my roommates' parents went on and on about it...the furniture just has a quality appearance. My favorite piece in the whole group is the bed. What I love about it is the upholstered headboard. I can sit in bed and work on the computer, read textbooks or watch TV and put my head back on the comfortable fabric. I would like to keep this bed for many years; I can't imagine one I'd like better. The furniture has really made my room a great place to study and chill out. That's really important for a college student to be able to have a place to have some down time. My room feels like home, and I think that will go a long way in making this a successful year for me in college.
